Coffee, Donuts, and Radon

The Brooklyn Sportsman’s Club will host a Community Awareness on Radon.

 WHERE: 475 MONROE ST. BROOKLY, MI 49230

WHEN: SATURDAY JANUARY 7, 2012

TIME: 9:00am, about 1 hour

COST: FREE, NO CHARGE

 January is Radon Action Month and the Brooklyn Sportsman’s Club has asked Michael Holmes of Holmes Inspections, LLC to educate the community about Radon gas, how it affects you, and what you do about it.

 Holmes is certified in Radon testing with National Environmental Health Association, National Radon Proficiency Program and has been conducting Radon test in Michigan since 2007.

 By the end of the Community Radon Awareness presentation, attendees will:

  • Be able to identify three characteristics of Radon gas.
  • Be able to visually recognize the location of the different potential zones in MI.
  • Be able to list the one major health risk associated with Radon exposure.
  • Be familiar with the most common testing devices used for Radon in air.
  • Recognize the value in utilizing qualified Radon testing professionals.
  • Be able to list at least two different types of mitigation systems available.
