Brooklyn Sportsman's Club (BSC) will be offering an IDPA Safety Officer course on Saturday, March 17 -- 8:30 am - 5 pm.

If you would like to be a certified IDPA Safety Officer - come out and take the course!  You may also use the course as a refresher.

The cost of the course is $40 for non-TCSL or non-BSC members, or $30 for TCSL or BSC members.

You must be an IDPA member to take the course.

You must pre-register for the course at:

We will spend the morning going over lecture material, with some breaks.  We will also be taking a written test at the end of the morning.  We will have lunch break in the clubhouse.

In the afternoon, we will transition to the range, where we will do some drills and you will get rotate and play multiple rolls (Safety Officer - of course!, Scorekeeper and Shooter).

Please plan on bringing your IDPA gear and about 75 - 100 rounds of ammunition - and you should be well covered for the range portion of the class.

We will treat the range session just like an IDPA match - by that I mean that we will be running a "cold range", and you should gear up in the safe area (with no handling of ammunition in safe area).   Ammunition and magazines may be handled everywhere but in the safe area.

Again, please register on the TCSL web site - and I look forward to seeing everybody on Saturday, March 17!
