Residents will have an opportunity to break some clay pigeons and break the ice with a member of Congress this weekend in Brooklyn.

Congressman Tim Walberg (R-7) will be at the Brooklyn Sportsman’s Club to host a townhall event on Saturday, October 27. He will be discussing the importance of the 2nd Amendment after shooting a round of sporting clays with members of the public.

Walberg said that the event underscores his support for the Bill of Rights.

“I believe that this is a necessity in order for Americans to maintain our way of life, and encourage you to join me to share your ideas and ask questions as well,” he said.

Some of the topics that will be covered are Walberg’s support for a national right-to-carry reciprocity bill, as well as ending the DC Gun Ban.

Time slots for shooters are available through 2 p.m., and the townhall event will begin at noon. Normal shooting fees will apply for members and non-members.

The Brooklyn Sportsman’s Club is located at 475 Monroe Street in the Village of Brooklyn. The 25-acre property has a 15 station equivalent sporting clay course, rifle range and great outdoor pistol range.
